The goal here was to have fun and just print and be loose. Love to see someone just let go and paint an impression of a scene. How fun when you can just concentrate on one vision and don’t have to worry about the detail. Cheri did a great job on this painting by letting the page tell her what to do. One of the secrets to painting this way is to loosen up and paint two watercolors at the same time. While one is drying, work on the other. You won’t be tempted to keep touching the paper and just let the watercolor paint itself. Who knows it might be the best part of the painting. Also limit yourself on time…
I love your paintings and find the blog so informative.Watercolor is wonderful but chalanging
Keep painting!
I have done this for years, mostly to avoid overwork.
I’ve got six going now;(that’s toooo many). Three have worked well
for me. Another big problem I have, (and reason for starting several)
is disciplining myself to FINISH a work. Help !
