Knowing when to stop painting is difficult. Sometimes it really does take a super-human effort to just stop, put your brush down and take a break. If you don’t think you can make it better by adding another stroke and your gut is telling you to take a break do it. Just do it! One of the most valuable and hardest things to do when painting is to see with a fresh eye. This can sometimes be done by just putting away your artwork away for a while and looking at it later. Less is more is so true. To just capture the essence of what you’re trying to say. This accomplished artist, Peggy did capture that essence in my view. Not easy to do because the biggest cause for failure when painting watercolors is trying to do to much.
