Welcome. I started this blog for everyone interested in the fascinating medium of watercolor. This site is for students and artists of all levels to share information and hopefully a little of themselves. Please feel free to ask questions, make comments and enjoy. The goal is “to achieve satisfaction, not perfection”.

Hi Joe, In the workshop last Friday the 22nd, you were using a Dr. Martin product to splatter white on your waterfall picture. I want to order some of that from Cheap Joe’s but do not know the name of the product. Can you help? Thanks. Barbara PS …I loved the workshop and the projects. My husband loves the waterfall I painted.
Hi Barbara… The paint you mentioned was Dr. Martin’s bleed proof white. I think you can get it most anywhere. It’s the best I’ve found for not letting the color underneath come through.
Thanks Joe for getting back to me so quickly.
Hello Joe. Lovely work on your page. Loved reading “failure is your friend”. I call it the theory of happy accidents.

Hi Joe,
I absolutely love the powerful colors you used on your painting! Beautiful work!
Thanks Maine Watercolors!
Your watercolors absolutely blow me away! This is the style I adore. Your colors are so clean, your paintings have depth. They are powerful yet delicate. They are breathtaking. It is not often that I am in awe at so many paintings by one artist. Fantastic!!! Thank you.
Thanks Shirley…
Hi Joe,
I just started a blog for my fellow art students and friends at the museum where I work at. You really have a nice site. Clean with beautiful paintings. Demo are great. Easy navigation. Your works are encouraging to loosen up and enjoy the process.
Take Care,
Swift
Great work. I love the clean lines.
Hi Joe,
Discovered your web site and blog after reading the article on you in the Summer 2002 issue of Watercolor magazine. I love your work!!! I teach watecolor classes at a community college, and I know my students would love to see ME loosen up! Do you teach workshops? Maybe the Sierra Watercolor Society can have you as one of our teachers!?
Absolutely beautiful paintings! Some of the most beautiful I have seen!
Hi there… Sorry I don’t get on my blog as often as I should. Have someone send me an email about doing a workshop. Thanks for the kind words!
Hi there… Don’t know if you sent me any info on doing a workshop but if that’s a possibility please let me know. Thanks…
Your work is beautiful. Do you sell your paintings online?
